I’m slightly behind on my blogging of family sessions. In fact, this baby I’m getting ready to show you photos of just turned six months old. Whoops. Regardless, he is/was a cutie. And because his dad is from Texas, we had to include the hat. Who doesn’t love newborns, because I sure do!
For two years, I had a fabulous babysitter, Heidi. She came once a week to play with my kids while I worked on this computer, locked in my office. During that time, Heidi acquired a niece, Hope, who my kids LOVED. So of course I was honored when Hope’s mom brought here to me for some 1-year photos. Doesn’t she look like a doll?
My good friend Jenna has a boss she really likes (a rare treat, no?). So like any good employee, when she found out her boss was having a baby, she bought a gift certificate for a photos session with me. I got to photograph her two terribly cute boys a few weeks back. Look at those eyes! Beautiful. Thanks, Jenna, for thinking of me as a baby gift idea. And I hope the Hill family enjoys these photos for many years to come.
I had the wonderful opportunity to meet the Hartmans last month. Natalie, a friend-of-a-friend, contacted me to do her family’s photos and asked if we could do them at her mom’s house. Turns out mom’s house has about 450 windows which means great natural light. I asked if I could rent it out for future sessions. 
Look at this family how gorgeous! I had a great time getting to know them.
I had the opportunity to photograph a family that recently moved into our neighborhood last month, and their littlest member, Mason, was turning 1. It was my first time photographing a cake-smashing (fun!…and sticky!) and I really enjoyed getting to know them. Listen, we live out in the country and I’m excited to have any kids under five within a few-mile radius. I see a playdate coming on!
A couple weeks ago, I had the chance to go photograph four-week-old Jonas. He was wide awake and worn out when I first arrived. So after a rousing game of bounce-the-baby-to-sleep, we had a great sleeping baby session. He is totally gorgeous, and has the best complexion I’ve seen in a baby. Look at that coloring! He’s a handsome little guy, and I was so happy to meet him. I also had a difficult time choosing favorites from this session, so I’m posting quite a few. I hope you don’t mind.
I’m so thrilled to have had the opportunity to photograph Bryce & Ella at every stage of development over their first year of life. I’m also happy to have watched their parents go from overwhelmed and exhausted (who wouldn’t be with newborn twins!) to having it together and getting a full-night’s rest… most of the time. And look at these two little ones – aren’t they adorable. To start off, you be a bonus photo, my favorite from the Christmas session I did in late November and forgot to blog about. The rest are my favorites from their one-year session. Happy Birthday to both of you!
My dear, dear friend Whitney (as mentioned in the previous two posts) has two beautiful children. One recently turned one, and the other 3. I had the opportunity to take their birthday photos, and loved it.
