John & Katie

Posted in Photography at 8:38 pm by Kelli

Last weekend, John and Katie got married in a 130-year-old sanctuary (beautiful!), with Katie and the bridesmaids wearing dresses hand-made by a friend of the family (also beautiful). John described the wedding theme beforehand as, “the classic elegance of the polka dot meets the Muppets.” Who wouldn’t love a wedding like that!

Michael & Taylor’s Wedding

Posted in Photography at 3:30 am by Kelli

A few months back, I showed you their engagement session, and now they’re hitched! Michael and Taylor had a gorgeous wedding at Knotty Pines Lodge in Frazier’s Bottom. I had such a great time shooting it, and as always, loved being there to share their day. Congratulations, guys!

In the Navy

Posted in Photography at 2:56 am by Kelli

Our friends, Jeremy & Nicole, have been married two years this month. Jeremy recently joined the Navy, so they asked me to come do some photos of them now that he’s finished with his training.

It looks like they still like each other pretty well, don’t you think?

Jeremy & Julie

Posted in Photography at 3:43 pm by Kelli

Jeremy & Julie are just really fun, and are terribly cute together. Just look at ‘em! I had the best time photographing their wedding, which was really  lovely. I also enjoyed getting to know their families. I enjoy seeing how relieved everyone close to the wedding is once you arrive at the reception . All the stress and planning just melts away, and they can relax and have a good time. Many years of happiness to you both.

From Engagement Session to Guestbook

Posted in Photography, Print Design at 3:16 pm by Kelli

One of the fun products I offer to engagement session couples is the opportunity to turn their session photos into a guestbook for the wedding. I design the guestbook myself, using elements and colors from the couple’s wedding. The hinged pages lay flat for ease of writing. It makes a beautiful keepsake that’s less likely than a typical guestbook to end up in the bottom of a box in the attic (which is where mine is).
