On the Tricycle
Nevermind that Sydney’s feet barely reach the pedals, or that she can’t quite figure out how to make it go. She was determined to “ride” the tricycle yesterday. And who can blame her, really, since it was the first day we’ve been able to get outside to play in months.

Ordinary Winter Morning
Every morning is pretty much the same around here, and certainly nothing exciting to capture. But the sun did make an appearance in our window today, which Sydney was enjoying. Mason, however, wouldn’t stop playing with his Tag Reader enough to even look at me!

I took the kids to the mall today for some Chick-Fil-A, and to get Mason a hair cut. On our way out, we stopped in the photo booth. I loved it! Look at all our tongues sticking out in the second one!

Today, while Mason was still asleep, Sydney brought this blue hat and asked to wear it. She was pretty cute, so I got out my camera. I had her look out the window to tell me what she saw, and would you believe there was a monkey AND an elephant out there?

Mason – The Closeup Outtakes
When I was taking the kids photos last week and got those closeups, it took me literally about four photos to get that fantastic smile from Sydney. Mason….well let’s just say it takes a little more effort to get him to give me a genuine smile. Here are some of the ones that almost made it…but not quite.

Snow Gazing, Take 2
Look at my sweet little boy staring out at allllll the snow. And check it out – he even shared his staring-space with Sydney for a minute or two.

Just a couple I caught of Sydney checking the snow out the living room window today.

I’m so behind on my blogging. I know you’ll forgive me.
Every year I try to do a photo of the kids (all two years I’ve had them) I can use on cards, and to give out to the family for gifts. Here is the one and only shot I got of the two of them looking even toward me this year, followed by a hug and one of Sydney to match the one of Mason I got last month. It took two attempts, and a set of grandparents to help distract them. Phew!

We have so much to be thankful for here. I took my camera around on Thanksgiving, and of course forgot to use it except for about five minutes. I caught a fun photo of Mason singing a song about Mr. Brown and Mr. Black with his Aunt Sara. We all thought he wasn’t paying much attention…except he has since asked me to sing it about 17 times. And let’s face it – I just don’t know as many songs as Aunt Sara.

And then of course a photo of Sydney…standing on a school bus.
