Technologically Savvy
Earlier today, while Mason was playing a game on Evan’s laptop (the photo below is him excitedly saying, “I did it!” when he finished a puzzle), Sydney kept herself busy playing a word game on my phone. So much for toys.

Just a ‘Playin
Not much to report around here, but I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted. The good news: the kids play by themselves for a bit now. With toys and everything!

Next is what happened when I told Sydney to put her cheek on Mason’s cheek. She wasn’t quite following my lead.

She finally caught on, and cooperated. You know, sorta.

Nevermind that Sydney’s feet barely reach the pedals, or that she can’t quite figure out how to make it go. She was determined to “ride” the tricycle yesterday. And who can blame her, really, since it was the first day we’ve been able to get outside to play in months.

Three Little Piggies
While we were in Tennessee, Mason spend hours playing with the woven baskets that were part of the coffee table in the living room. He stacked them and knocked them over, restacked, reknocked… repeat until bored silly.
Anyway, he actually did a good job stacking them…

And then pretended to be the big bad wolf… he huffed, and he puffed, but he couldn’t blow the house down.

Fun Fall
Just a few from outside yesterday. I think they’d play outside all day every day if I’d let them.

Chef Sydney
Just a pic of Sydney cooking up some M&Ms on her cardboard stove over the weekend.
I think she has alot of potential.

Just Outside
We’re trying to get outside at least once a day to play before this beautiful weather turns frigid. And my goodness if Sydney doesn’t look just like I did at this age! (With blue eyes, of course).

Lincoln Logs
Mason asked me to build him a house with his Lincoln Log set. I was so proud of myself.
It lasted as long as it took me to get the camera and get one picture. Then this:
He was quite proud of himself.
Sydney was just minding her own business.

This evening I let the kids play outside so I could clean my car. It had rained all day, so I figured I would give them a few minutes outside before bed. Before I knew it, I looked over and saw Sydney sitting in a puddle. So I did what any good mom would do…I grabbed my camera and let them have at it. Then they went straight to the bathtub.
First of all, look at that face.

Getting into it.

The Baby and Her Baby
Sydney has been carrying her “baby” around alllll day. She’s really attached. I think it’s cute.
