First Day of Preschool
Mason started preschool today. He was excited, I was excited, and Sydney was just sad she couldn’t go, too. The first picture was when I told Mason I wanted to take his picture.
The others were when I told him to show me how excited he was. And Sydney wanted to get in there, too.
Sydney is Two!
Today is Sydney’s birthday. It was difficult to get a decent photo of her, but I was determined. After all, she only turns two once. Unfortunately. I would love to keep her just like this for at least seventeen years or so.
She wanted to play outside for a bit just before bedtime, so I told her to put her shoes on. This is what she chose. I love her.
Happy Birthday Party
We had the kids a small combined birthday party two weekends ago, and they had a blast. It’s hard to believe Mason is 3 and Sydney is nearly 2. Phew!

Mason turns 3!
Today was Mason’s third birthday. We celebrated with an ice cream cake and just a couple little presents, since we’re having the kids’ joint party in a couple weeks. For comparison to last year’s rocking chair photo, click here.
18 Months
Ok, so I’m two weeks late on these, but still…she hasn’t changed much in two weeks. Sydney turned 18 months old on October 21. She’s growing up. I don’t like it. Except for the part where she can entertain and feed herself – that I don’t mind so much.
Which came first?
I found this cute little baby chick costume for Sydney in September, and jokingly asked Mason if he wanted to be an egg. He said yes (to my surprise) and kept asking where his egg was. So I made it. (More about that here, if you’re interested). So here are a few pictures of the chicken…and the egg this trick-or-treat evening. (By the way, who decided to trick or treat on a Thursday two days before Halloween anyway?)
Two And A Half
While we were on vacation, Mason turned 2.5. So as soon as we got back, I plunked him down in the rocking chair and took his photo. Ok – actually I didn’t plunk him down. He insisted he had to climb in by himself. And only after much coaxing. Such is life with a two and a half year old. To make it a little easier on you, here he was six months ago for comparison.
Vacation! Glorious Vacation!
As many of you know, we went to the beach last week. I didn’t take a ton of pictures, but I did get some I think are pretty cute. I hope ya’ll do to.
